I just got the email from Nokia and the 9500 is officially released in the US although the specifications on their web site indicate it uses the same communication bands as the eurasian version (900/1800/1900). I still haven't found it marketed together with a plan from T-Mobile(US), Verizon, etc. If you see a link to get both the phone and a plan together, please submit the link.

I already have Cingular here in the states. If i bought one of these phones, would it work with the Cingular network here? Do you know if it uses a sim card? I'm researching on PDA phones and this one really sounds good. Please let me know, I appreciate your help.
Thanks 😁

Yes it uses a SIM card. It is supposed to work with the Cingular system but I have not tested it yet. I did learn from Nokia that you can buy it direct from them ($799) with a 30 day test period and return without penalty. After I return from vacation I plan to order one and test it with Cingular and T-mobile.
