Motorola C650 and mobile technology.

by NicholasKiz    Apr 30, 2004, 12:35 AM

The Motorola C650 is a fine example of how Motorola is behind in the progression of mobile technology compared to other manufacturers. While the C650 has similar dimensions as the Sony Ericsson T610, the Motorola has a smaller screen, no bluetooth function, and no flash for the camera. Since this phone is being introduced one year after the T610's releases, there is no excuse for the lack of features. Another example is the Motorola V600 (also V300 and V400). These higher end Motorola flip phones were released around the same time as the Samsung E715 flip phone. The E715 has an integrated antenna and a camera with flash. The V600 still has a stub antenna and no flash for the camera. Motorola is always releasing old technology while the other companies have the new. The only new successful creation from Motorola's lab would be the MPx200 with its integrated antenna and windows mobile operating system. Motorola needs to step it up and become a leader instead of riding the coattails of samsung. They need more Mpx200-type phones on the market.
