I got the Cable & Software last week. Yes you can upload and download all the pictures. You can also create mp3 ringtones and upload them to the phone using the cable. I'm using it with WinXP.

Step 1: Create an mp3 file (I've used 16 bit, mono, 24khz and 16bit, mono, 32 khz, both work) it has to be relatively small but a large mp3 is pointless anyways because your voicemail will pickup after about 30 seconds anyways.

Step 2: change the extension on the file to .mid instead of .mp3

step3: open the KPD software, go to ringers and use the "import ringer" function to find your file and import it.

Sync the ringers (the phone reboots at the end of the sync)

go to the "settings" : "sounds" : "Ringer type" menu and select your ringtone, it will play the tone.

If you go to your "media gallery" : "Sounds" : "Ringers" menu and select the ringer you created you _will not_ hear the file play.
