The koi would have much better image quality since it's a 1.2 mega pixel camera. I've seen the 7000 and it seems like a nice flip phone but the koi has many more features than it overall, the ability to answer a call when the phone is closed is just awesome and also when wearing a headset a voice asks do you want to answer the incoming call, yes or no and it answers it. Very pimp.

the koi is not the same old kyocera operating system like I've read many reviews thinking it would be, it's much better, LG is the ones that have a very boring OS, have seen some bugs in it to while looking at images it likes to cut parts of pictures and text off and occasionaly freeze the phone up. The koi would definatly be a better choice though if you are looking for good picture taking as you indicated earlier....

Suit yourself, I got the KX2. After owning the LG6000, which I loved. I was looking for something different from the casual flip phone. The KX2 fit the bill. With a lot of bells and whistles to boot, I'm loving it so far.

I hate to sound like a turd, but if you want good picture quality, buy a $100 cdma phone off of ebay and then take the $200 you would save and buy a good 5 mp camera then you'll get good photo quality. Or wait for the VX800. I've used both and I think the Koi is a better phone overall... better signal, better os, better bang for the buck and better build quality. Kyo's are alot sturdier than LG's... don't believe the hype around Kyo's being junk. I've owned a number of Kyo's and they are all good phones. Key word being phones.

I agree on if you are concerned about picture quality, then you will not be happy with the results you get with ANY cell phone camera. ๐Ÿ˜ข

Buy a REAL digital camera!!!!! ๐Ÿ™‚ They will have a lot more features, will be easier to use, hold more pictures, have better zoom and preview, can be printed and look very good, and can be sent to friends or your computer without having to pay extra charges.

A cell phone camera should be thought of for a camera you use ONLY because you don't have a REAL camera handy and you are willing to accept "fair" results with more effort.

If you think that just because a cell phone camera is mega pixel it will take a good picture, WRONG!! ๐Ÿ˜ฒ

There is a LOT more that goes into picture quality tha...

Why don't you just go to the Verizon store and decide for yourself!! ๐Ÿคฃ

Do you really need that much hand holding that you can't make up your own mind? Grow up and be nice to others and show some maturity!! ๐Ÿ˜

The other "crap" is what these phones are all about, not just the camera. The picture quality depends on the screen resolution and the camera quality. So do you mean which has the best picture quality when transfered to a computer or just previewed on the...

Picture quality on the phone screen, picture quality on the computer after downloading, or print quality? It makes a difference! ๐Ÿ™‚

Why don't you just go to the store and see for yourself and you judge? The store can even send a sample picture to your email address.
๐Ÿ™‚

I'm sure you are going to get conflicting opinions here, and you still will not know. But since this is a Koi Forum, most will say Koi. If you go to the LG Forum, they will say 7000! So which do you think?...

The vx7000 has better picture quality and don't let nobody tell you any different. Try both out and you'll see for yourself.

You can't just say one camera is better than another just on the fact that one may have a higher mega pixel. There is a LOT more that goes into a camera to produce a "quality" image than just megapixels. (Just ask Sony or Cannon!) The lens type (glass or plastic), lens quality, the CCDs, the electronics, the processor, etc.

If you really want to see what an EXCELLENT camera looks like, just look at the Audiovox 9900! It is NOT a megapixel camera but far surpasses any others that Verizon has except maybe the upcoming LG 8000.

But...

I was having difficulty coming to a concise conclusion on what was the best intellectual response to your previous post when I finally decided on:
You sir are a f***ing retard.

"You can't just say one camera is better than another just on the fact that one may have a higher mega pixel."
Yes you can moron. For example; I am hungry and I decide that I would like to go to the grocery store for say, oranges. At one store I can only get 1 REALLY SUPER GOOD orange while at the other I can get 3 normal oranges. One orange may taste better but 3 decent oranges are going to fill me up. The man was asking which one has better image quality, not which camera has better features for taking pictures of your brightly colored homosexual shirts. (...

I think you're response is the biggest piece of Crap BS i have ever heard. Not all camera phones are made equal. Look at the Moto v710 with a megapixel camera, it sucks. Just because 1 has a higher megapixel doesn't mean it's always better than one that has a lower resolution. Ideally, it should be but in reality it's not. I think you better wake up and smell the coffee. If you buy things based on specs without actually testing and comparing the items for yourself, then you're a fool. Since you like analogies, let me give you one. If Hyundai sells a 3.0 liter car and Lexus a 2.5 liter car. DOes that mean Hyundai's care is better coz it has a bigger engine. If Hyundai's engineering is far inferior than Lexus, their car can have the biggest e...

For me, I would only get a tri-mode phone. Some places I travel to in the boonies I can only get an analog signal - with an all digital phone (VX7000) I would have no service. It does not take "videos", but the VX6100 is tri-mode as is the Koi/KX2. I generally love LG phones and have had a couple and was very pleased with them.

I just picked up the KX2 from Verizon for my wife, and so far I like it - she does too.

None of these cameras is going to have a decent picture, no matter how much the claimed resolution is. You can pick up a small digital camera that will do a TON better job. Also, with Verizon you have to e-mail the pictures ($0.25 each, or get on a xx pictures for $x plan) with most of the phones to do anything with them. Wit...
