mp3 to .mid phone is restarting??

I'm attempting to send ring tones to my

phone via e-mail. I change it to a .mid send

it my#@vzwpix.com I receive the message but

when i open the file my phone restarts on it's

OWN!!! Everytime... Anyone having the same

trouble's or herd of such a thing...



PS.. already called Verizon tech, and kyocera no help what so ever..

I have the same problem. My guess is that Verizon had Kyocera prevent any ringtones from playing except for those that Verizon has digitaly signed and true MIDIs. The chipset in the Koi is capable of MP3 ringtones so I would bet that we can thank Verizon for that. 👿

Yea i emailed myself a ringtone that i recorded on my phone and then changed the format to a .mid file and i get the message but the sound doesn't come up like i doo when I email myself the wav format.

The phone will play mp3 ringtones, yes I have Verizon but the phone will only play mp3's that are in certain formats.

Did you make sure the mp3 file is small and in the right format? See my message lower down in this board for the details. I haven't tried using the email method only the cable.

Of course they aren't going to help you bypass their highly profitable services, calling them up for assistance on this was definitely going to the wrong place.
