Picture Messaging, Help Please

I have verizon and i keep tryin to send some pics to my phone and everytime i get this message.
it says
"Message Expired or Not Available
(Error Message- Not Found)
Why do i keep gettin this message.
Can someone help

i tried to send from my yahoo and hotmail address to my number@vzwpix.com, but it doesnt work

Try sending a picture message from your phone to an email address. Does it successfully send it. Most probably, your account is not activated for picture messaging service. If you do the above, things would become clear.

Let me know what happens when you send a message.
