I used to have the same problem with my SlvrL7i and what I did was:
1: Go to Start on your PC
2: Panel Control
3:unplug your phone
4:Add Hardware or Plug 'nPlay settings
(maybe you'll need to select hardware from a list,select it, or let that Windows Search for the Drivers)
5: Follow the steps!!
