Text Message Capacity

The incoming text message capacity is limited at 50 messages. I still have over 40 MB's of Contents Memory still available. Does anyone know of how I can make it so my inbox can allow more messages? Maybe by allocating some of the Contents Memory? Any other way? Thanks in advance for any help!
