Pointless...

From comparing the LG VX7000 to the LG VX8000 it almost seems pointless for Verizon to realease them both. Why not just go straight to the 8000 and not leave us all waiting an extra year(or more)? It doesn't seem that there are many differences between the two phones, with the exception of a few "better" features on the VX8000. Verizon, keep us all happy and forget the VX7000.

EV-DO and megapixel camera are just "better" features? 😲 I'd say they're huge leaps forward for the whole industry, but hey - to each his own... 😉

I apologize...In my frustration with the way Verizon handles the releasing of their phones I guess I lost my head. The VX8000 has many features that the VX7000 shows no comparison to, or just flat out does not have. Either way, Verizon should save us all the stress and anticipation associated with its release.

The 7000 will be a great phone while waiting on deployment of EV-DO. EV-DO is going to take time to implement nationwide, so the 7000 should enjoy a full life-cycle.

Depending on where you are located, broadband will be available in florida in major areas around September or so and the LG VX-8000 is right around the corner.

***Don't hold this as gospel, but I talked to a VZW rep in this store, and he said there is not going to be a vx7000 for verizon wireless, and they are skippping it to go directly to the 8000 and that the 810 should be released soon. (Dont know what that means).***

^^^ This was posted by another member on the LG VX7000 forum. Hopefully this statement is true and the release of the VX8000 will be sooner than originally thought. Just some wishful thinking. 😉
