LG VX-8000 and Motorola V-710 will be carry by Verizon Wireless. But I don't know which one I am going to get.

I have LG VX-6000 right now and it has been working well and perfect. I love LG phone because it is quality, more realiable, good reception, clear and loud audio and voice. Also, LG's menu is the best, it is so easy and friendly to use. But LG does not have good life for baterry.

My friend has Motorola V300 from T-mobile. I don't like the menu of Motorola. LG has much more better menu.

LG VX-8000 will not have Bluetooth, but LG will have a good screen for 262K colors. Motorola V-710 will have Bluetooth but the external screen of Motorola is not so good.

So which one are u going to get? I am so excited for those n...

😎 🙂 😲
The VX8000 will not be available til August/September with the launch of the EV-DO network. The VX7000 will be launched at the same time as the V710. The 8000 will have features including capability to stream video and if I am not mistaken stereo sound. It will be a great addition.

If the VX8000 isn't coming out for a while...will the VX6100 be released sooner? Any Idea?

Iconic,

I know you are one of the most reliable sources in these forums.

I've been leaning toward the Moto V710, but B/T isn't a huge issue with me. O/W the phones are the same, and I have more faith in LG.

With its reliance on the EV-DO network, I'm just wondering if you do really expect the VX8000 to be available nationally as soon as August/September?

Thanks,

Mark

well, i'm not iconic, but i did talk to the girl at verizon today while i was paying my bill...i kept complaining about my phone and i need a new one and when they would be out...she said the a670 would be very soon, a week or two, and that lg was putting two of them out and kept going on about this one, but she said it looks like oct...i also asked about the 710 and she said that would be in a couple weeks...hope this helps man, she was all about the lg but said it wasn't gonna be for a while...

Thanks man.

I had heard about the A670, because even the Verizon customer support people knew about that one from their internal website Infomanager.

Hopefully she's right about the 710 release date. If nothing else an early release date for that phone should mean other phones are released faster and prices fall faster. Not surprised that she raved about the vx8000. I have a TM510, which is an antique piece of junk. But I still like LG. Verizon seems to partner better with LG and the end result is a better product.

I actually wonder whether Verizon doesn't take some secret delight in arrogantly tweaking Motorola as punishment for the T720 fiasco and Motorola's close relationship with Nextel.

hahaha, i got a good ol tm510 also and its dying!!! thats what i was complaining about to the girl, i took it out and was like "look, it shuts off by itself all the time!" but, it was a good ph for two years, i agree with ya on the lg's...yeah, as much as i do want the 710, i am a little skeptical about it b/c of it being a moto, thats why i think i might get the a670, esp if its the first one out...good luck with whatever ya go with...

so, i got a quick lil question...i'm leaning towards the a670 b/c i don't know this---do others need a vid ph to receive vids? or will they get a post like if you don't have a cam ph and you send a pic? otherwise i'll say f the 710 and get the a670...i don't need to send vids to people if they aren't going to get them right away, i'll just keep it and show it to them when i see them...my ph is on its last legs and its time to upgrade...

One needs a video phone to accept and send videos. How in the world would you play a video on your phone if you do not have the software to do so. BTW, did anyone else get that worthless email about the "Sting Theory" mini movie on the V710?

sweet, thanks sporty, i thought so, but i wasn't sure...so the fact that nobody else i talk to on my ph is going to get a vid ph anytime soon, has helped me make up my mind on which ph i am going to get...as much as i want the 710, i can be happy with a lower model like the 670, esp b/c its supposed to be out in another week or so...appreciate the help...

the A670 is availble for verizon wireless now at all radioshacks. i've tested it out for a few days and if you are looking at a phone RIGHT now to buy... and can't afford to wait for the 710 or the 8000, A670 is definitely a good choice. Small, compact, nice displays, and video/still picture capability are on this phone.

I'm going to have to disagree on the choice that you made. My friend recently got the motorola v600, which is a lower end model than the 710, and for tmobile. Although its got some pretty advanced features, its still got motorola's inherent problem of being so freaking slow. Motorola has to move away from running java on their phones. Also it might just be that i'm used to my phone, but the menu on the moto is very badly made, the format is similar to the vx6000 that i have, but the menus that it goes into are very non-userfriendly. And the speakerphone on the moto is horrible, the person you're going to be talking to if you use it, will not hear a word you say. The camera is better on the moto than mine, but the vx7000 which should be...

How much of a time gap do you think there will be between the time the LG VX7000 is launched and the time the LG VX8000 is launched? Anyone?

i really don't kno, but i think the vx7000 should be coming out during the summer, quiet early in the summer actually, and the 8000 in september or october, but i think the 8000 might come out later, cuz they might push the release date back. if you go to lgusa.com it says that the vx7000 is coming soon, but from lg there is no info on their site about 8000, wat i found out was from searching online

I heard way back then and I posted such, that VZW (who adore LG and do everything possible re LG)will move heaven n earth to get the 7000 out by mid-summer (I now hear June 15th to early July)and the 8000 by late summer/early fall.So I dont think we'll have to wait to Xmas but maybe only till Aug/Sept. I still hear those rumblings from my guys at VZW.
