How happy are you with the phone? I am up for NE2 July 2nd and want an 8100, but it may never come out, so i will most likely get the 8000 since VZW reduced it to $99.99. Just would like to hear from ppl who use this phone, as i personally know no one ;) THANX!

personally for me i love this phone they dont have vcast in my area yet thats my only problem with it, other than that i like the speaker phone, i like being able to remove the vzw banner off the screen, i like being able to see my wallpaper, i love the fact that while im speaking to someone i can see there picture the whole time im on the phone, i loved the fact i could use my 7000 usb cable to download ringtones on it, i enjoy the size of it, and the way the ringtones sound on it when the phone rings nice and loud at work i have to turn it down real low, it gets good reception, for me where i am at, its a sturdy phone, and i like the fact i can answer the phone from the front of the phone without having to open it up with the headset in it...

ok i am happy to answer your questions about the phone,
speakphone q yes when you have the speaker phone on, then the headset plugged in that comes with the phone which i might add is very nice, shut the phone and then use voice dial to connect to your contact when the phone starts to ring pull out the headset jack and continue on with your convo.
usb cable: yes i have made all of my ringtones from my favorite cds using a ringtone that i got off ebay for alittle bit of nothing, and the cool thing about it is i bought it for my 7000 then it worked for my 8000 and it even lets me download songs to my moms 6100 for her i have even personalized the wallpaper on it, and i have never paid for any of the ringtones or wallpaper. and you can find ...

ok...ive got to say this because i feel like im taking crazy pills...

the reception on this phone is horrible! I love EVERYTHING else about this phone, but it seems like a major problem. Ive had about 3 of these so i dont think its the phone i have...maybe a bad batch?

its driving me crazy...people saying it has great reception! one of my friends has a v710, and they have 3-4 bars everywhere in my house while i have no service-2 bars (only out of 4 though.) this phone also seems to go from 2 bars to no service randomly...it can be sitting on a table! randomly in the middle of a call, where i normally get good reception, the phone will just cut out, say 0 bars, and give me the "call was lost" message. Another friend with the vx700...

Thanx all, i went and got the 8000 on july 2, so i have til the 16th to decide if im keeping it. what i have noticed is some dropped calls, a VERY tinny sounding earpiece, and 'memory full' warning after 22/100 FLIX and maybe 35 PIX.

I go to the GIN subscreen and check the contents memory and it says 4.34/46.13MB - what gives? 9% memory full and i get a warning.

I looked for posts on here and have found similar complaints, but little advise. I think i am gonna get the 8100 if it comes out by the 16th.
