Is it necessary to convert MP3 files to MIDI to use them as ringtones? If so, does anyone know of a program to do so. Thx

There is no good way to convert a MP3 to a MIDI file. MP3's are recording of sounds. MIDI's are like sheet music. They contain the sounds note by note and instrument by instrument. For instance, a MIDI could tell the phone to play certain notes in a piano sound, while at the same time playing other notes in a guitar sound, but the file itself contains no sound, just instructions on what notes to play. Thanks to all. You guys are a big help. On another note. Has anyone downloaded Ashphalt Urban GT. It's a racing VCast game ($9.99/unlimited) but it rocks. I have never seen better graphics on a cell phone. I was looking at the credits and it was made by the N-Gage division of Gameloft and it says so right on the credits on the phone. I highly recommend it but wish I had a joy stick for my phone. You can choose lots of cars...all real cars like Audi, Hummer, Nissan, Saleen, etc. Hands down the best game yet
