Fully Charged - Blank Inside Screen

irish02

Does anyone else ever have trouble with their phone after fully charging it overnight? Some times when I charge my phone overnight and it says fully charged, the inside screen is blank and the buttons don't work, but the outside screen works fine. The only way to reset the phone is to take out the battery. Any fixes or similar problems?

if you charge your phone with the power on the phone will freeze, which is why the inside screen is black. try not to charge the phone with the power on (any cell phone). It does this because when the phone is charging while it is on it send a current to charge the battery and power the phone, and it bounces back and forth between the two funcionts. This causes static and can make your phone freeze. We see this commonly

I have never had this problem, nor have I heard this explanation until today and I have been charging my phones with the power on for as long as I have had a cell phone (at least the past 10 years).

That is odd, I have never had that problem before either, but then again I had a motorola. Guess I will just have to charge it with the phone off. Thanks for the info.

I charged my 8000 while it was on and it also froze up. I had to take the battery out and put it back in to get it going again.

I dont know but ive had my phone since Feb 1st,on 24-7 plug it in every night and no problems. Sounds like LG has some problem issues with that and people complaining about battery draining off quickly, must have made alot of lemons because my battery even is very impressive,a few pics a day afew 10 minute calls, playing with options and 15 hrs before charging at night...

better return or get that thing fixed. that's not normal behavior.. it would really suck if you have to keep taking the battery out everytime because it freezes up when you want to charge. If that's how all the LG 8000 work, then the 8000 phone is a piece of worthless junk.

Personally, I never left any phone on while charging it as this slows down the charging time drastically. But I think the V710 is a worthless piece of junk....

Don't believe it people, everyone charges their phone with it on, you don't think the companies that make the phones use the phones themselves? If your phone is doing that then take it back along with the charger, there have been times when faulty chargers have shipped with phones, who knows there could be a recall in the making if enough people are having the issue.

As far as battery life, any medium to heavey user that does not use the extended battery is a novice. I've always bought the extended battery and in the past few years I've had to buy less and less of them due to their longer life. With this phone I only bought one and have not managed to drain it yet. I use the standard battery as a backup/spare. I also bought the wall charg...

I agree. I managed to get the extended life battery also for free along with the phone. Every phone will have it's minor flaws. Just be lucky not to own one of those clunker crappy V710 phones. Now, that's a nightmare.
