Processor Speed and RAM

I've been around the net, as I'm sure many of the people here have. I was just wondering if I could get some clarification.

First, I'd like to get some opinions as to whether anyone thinks a 200 mhz processor is enough to keep this phone moving at a decent speed.

Second, I'd like to get some opinions on this phone's RAM. According to semi-reliable details on this phone, it will have only 32 mb of RAM. Much of this will be used to run the basic functions of the phone, but what about other programs? Also, are people going to have to do a soft reset every single time the phone runs out of RAM?

I bought this phone a few weeks ago. I replaced the xda IIs with the MPX due to its size. I was shocked to find out that it only has roughly 29mb of free ram once i looked in the settings. And to answer your question, NO 200 mhz is not enough the phone really lags, especially when shifting between landscape and portrait modes! I thoroughly enjoy the phone itself cosmetically, but am very disappointed with its slow speed and ram. The phone itself needs to be reset 3 to 4 times a day just to make sure you wont miss your calls.... its new yes but the XDA was much more functional!!!

Actually there is a program you can install onto your phone that overclocks the processor to as much as 500 MHZ. However, the RAM may still be an issue...

Does anyone know where I can get this program? The phone is being delivered to me on Tuesday and I want to make sure I am up and running...as for the RAM, try using the SD memory card slot...it can support up to a gig.

Dear Cappy6415,
RAM we need to run our software/program but SD memory card only for storage unless you know how to hack windows mobile OS to make SD card act as a RAM. Even if you have million gig of SD card it can't replace RAM function.

As a matter of fact I do. Now, realize this wasn't made for the MPx's processor, but it's still compatible as far as I know.

Use at your own risk.
