smart hinge

I think that the hinge system for this phone will be much stronger than what people are guessing in this forum. Look at the pictures and you will see release pins at the top right and the bottom left. One of these pins will always be engaged depending on the configuration you choose, giving support for the screen on two sides. Also because this is a smart phone I would bet there will be upgrades for video capture.

I'm sure the phone is quite stable when the screen is attached at both ends; however, what if you break it off while you're flipping the screen? That is the moment I think most people are worried about.

I had this idea a few days ago that would not only eliminate the issue of the screen breaking off, but would create an interesting security procedure for the phone. It's quite simple: make it detachable. Think about it. Test the weakest points on the hinge, and at the weakest of the points make a sort of "plug-in" jack for the screen. Then, should the screen "break off", you could just plug it right back in.

Yes I know it's a lame idea, but I got bored that day. Lol

regardless of which position you flip the phone to / or even while the screen is being flipped [ The scrEen should be attached to at least two points; I assume that it would be possible to release both pins simultaneously " but why would you do that: P.s In any future comments I will try to work on my punksheation and sentence constrapulation###

Yes... you can see the pins... but they look like they are PLASTIC.... and that normally means breakage!!!! (Hopefully if they are plastic... they will up grade it metal before releasing the phone.

I've actually spent a few days with an MPx. The hinge is pretty solid.

The main hinge part - the corner that flips both ways - is metal. It is very solid.

It's pretty much impossible to open it without it being attached in two corners. You certainly wouldn't do it by accident, and even if you try, (I did,) it's much harder than it looks, and it won't open very far at all that way.

It does have a slightly stiff/creaky feel to it, but what I had was an early/test version, naturally. It still didn't feel like it would break, and hardware usually gets more reliable by the final version.

Thank you for that information! I did not know that. I'm sure a lot of people here would be delighted to know that as well.

And I hope you are right. I hope the final version has that "stiff/creaky" feel corrected.
