Motorola MPx220
Help with New Phone: No Service
I just got a black unlocked MPX 220 from ebay with 1.47 version ROM. When I inputed my working SIM card it warning that the SIM is FULL. After I pressed done, there is NO SERVICE display. I could not make or receive any call at all. Anybody has solution for this? I used to have MPX 200 but hate it. The only reason I get 220 this time cause I thought they fixed all the bugs the 200 had. And I have tons of softwares and games for the phones. Please Help! Thank.

Someone must have just upgraded the phone to 1.47. It happened to me. After the upgrade the phone showed no service. Hard reset and power up again - this shold fix the issue

Thank for the info but even after a hard reset, the ROM still show at 1.47. And the problem still not solve. Thank anyway.

Boy are you going to be sad to find out that it's better but still not worth a darn as a phone.
I have had 5 of these, one came from Cingular with a problem similar to what you were describing. I took it to the store and they were unable to help. Had to send back (again) by mail for a different one.
This is the worst phone I've ever owned. Including my old huge phone that I first got from Sprint over 10 years ago.
Boo Motorola and Cingular, you are going to be sorry you aren't more helpful.
