Motorola MPx220
...and speaking of listening to MP3's on your phone
As you know, manufacturers (in their infinite wisdom) chose to design mobile phones using 2.5mm jacks. Well, that happens to NOT be the size that cheap, walkman-like headphones use. I've tried Radio Shack's adapter but sound only comes out of one side.
Motorola sells stereo headphones (model HS120) but they cost between $20-$30: a ridiculous price.
Those of you that are listening to MP3's on your phones, what solution have you come up with?
$4.95 there, but sound quality will be slightly compromised.
Sounds great once you do that!
Anyone seen/tried a ROM update to improve volume in the earpiece and microphone yet?
I have read that one was being tested but haven't seen it out yet. Just curious/HOPEFUL!
thanks...
In fact, it's rather embarrassing that this phone, with all of its faults, also adds this one to the list.
I agree that for the price of this phone, the adapter should work. However if you use the method I provided, be sure to edit the system volume on the "Headset" profile, or every time you move between songs on the playlist, you'll get a really loud click.
