After a few days...i felt that the has820 gets uncomfortable after a while. now the jabra 250 is uncomfortable from the start..the big ear bud is feels too big and the small one feels too small like the headset will fall off or something... the jabra is a b*tch to put on unlike the hs 820... but the jabra looks like it would last longer cause of the sturdy build.. i just dont know.. i dont want both. will have to sell one,, but dont know which.

Those Jabra things are just too funky looking for me to wear. People think they are hearing aids with all the in-ear junk and bent tubing.

I use the Motorola HS810 which is very comfortable and gets good reviews- even better than the 820. The folding boom is the on/off switch and is fairly immune to wind and background noise. The buttons are easy to operate too.

I also have a SonyEricsson HBH60 and it's okay but battery life sucks bigtime.

when you fold it on.. does it take long for the v710 to notice it.. cause the phone might be ringing forever and you have wait for it to notice it...etc etc.

Not so long as to miss a call. I've even gone out of range and made it back to a ringing handset to have the link re-established and call connected.

The Motorola stuff seems to play together very good. Never drops the link even after about 5 hours of standby with occassional use in between.

I use the Jabra 250 and it works wonderfully with my V710. Once it is paired, it does not forget it... 😎
Unless you have powered down the headset, it should recognize the device. The J250 recogniozes the phone without having to depress the little phone button. 😎
If you keep it on, your phone will auto-answer in your ear.
I was asleep with the Jabra250 on and and an incoming call woke me without having touch the phone or the headset....Very Coooool

I have an older BT200 (older, but still quite good) headset. Its the one from the jabra BT for non-BT phones kit.

Now that i'm using it with the v710, I've noticed that if I'm paired up, the phone doesn't ring if a call comes in. Instead the headset rings.
If i'm not wearing the headset but it's in standby mode, I don't hear an inbound call. This happens in the car when I sometime rip the headset off while I'm not actually talking, but I still leave it in standby (not shutting it completely off).

Is there a setting that I'm missing somewhere? I've looked.

Also, I don't truly understand why there are 'car settings' on the phone. They don't seem to change anything.

I was about to post the exact same question. WTF do they expect - everyone to walk around all day w/the dorky ear piece on?

See my post yesterday about the V710 sometimes ringing even when the 200 is on. You can force the phone to drop the BT connection, which leaves the 200 on standby but also lets the phone ring.

I bought all three to compare them. My favorite design was the 810. It had a carrying case, and opening the boom to answer a call and throwing it on was a perfect way to answer, then you didn't have to wear it all the time. However... It didn't fit right. I couldn't get it to stop touching my face, therefore the sound was all muffled.

I liked both the 250 and the 820 soundwise, and basically felt like the 250 would stay on my head better and had a carrying case. So I kept that one. I bought them from radioshack, best buy and circuit city so they all had a 30 day return policy. Ended up keeping the 250 but really wished the 810 would have worked out. Hope this helps. Jen

Well, I tried it and my boyfriend tried it and both of us had trouble keeping it away from hitting the side of our face. I don't think everyone has that issue, but I didn't want to have issues down the road. The 820 would have worked fine, I just liked the Jabra sound a little better and the fit, a bit better. Maybe you can charge them all, compare for yourself and then return the ones you don't want the next day🙂 Jen

Hey Jen & fellow posters...
Glad to see I'm not the only crazy one who bought all 3! I've had a few problems/questions though...
I'm having trouble getting the phone to recognize the HS810 - went through the steps on the phone but no device recognition. The lady at RS told me some people were having some difficulty getting it connected, but we never got into it further. Any tips/clues?
Also, the 810 seems to be very loose on my ear - I know I have little ears but I feel if I turn my head quickly it feels like it's going to fly off.
Right now I'm pretty happy with the Jabra 250 - but I liked a few other features of the 810: open/close mic, carrying case, lanyard - so I'd like to give it a fair shot before I return it. Thanks for any...
