Verizon does not recognize mp3 attachments even though your phone does. So here's what you do:
You rename the file from *.mp3 to *.mid (MIDI format). Then you e-mail it to your phone and it will work like a charm. Remember Verizon has a restriction of about 300KB per e-mail, so make sure your songs are below that.
