Will this phone support the SPP & OPP protocols used by factory installed car kits (such as Toyota & Lexus)? No motorola phones currently do, but Sony Ericson T616 does. Great feature!!

The SPP & OPP software is part of the built in bluetooth telephone control in cares like the Toyota Prius & Land Cruiser. The software in the car allows communication w/ the phone, including uploading the phone book from the phone. The manual (with the car) states the phone must work with this software. According to Toyota, the only bluetooh phones currently working with this system are the Sony Erricson T616 & the Nokia 3650.

For me, this may be a make/break issue when my telephone contract comes up for renewal

Addendum: In car, telephone controls are on steering wheel. Microphone (good sound quality) is in car roof, system mutes radio, using radio speakers for voice.

Demo with ATT & Cingular = very neat feature. Hard to believe Verizon not up to date. Calls to Motorola were no help. Their telephone tech support (when trying Timeport 270) was less than useless. 270 didn't even link to their bluetooth headset!!!
