Problem transfering mp3s to phone

I'm having problems transfering mp3's to my phone via tf, I've tried making the mp3 file a midi file but it still won't show up on my phone once I switch storage devices. If any one could help me out I would greatly appreaciate it.

Thanks,
Jared

Can someone please help me, I can't figure it out. I'm getting pictures from my computer over to the TF card but I can't get music over. I've dragged and dropped from ITunes. When I open up the drive on my computer a Motorola file shows up and the song I brought over also shows up. When I put the TF card back in my phone I have the pictures but not the music. I'm sure it's something simple I'm not doing right but I still haven't figured it out. I would appreciate any help possible getting mp3's over.

There's a couple of stipulations for putting songs onto your phone. One is the name of the song. It should be only 15 characters or less. Next is that it should be only a clip of a song - say 25-30 seconds considering a ring is only that long to begin with. You should also change the quality of the song to 64 or 96 kbps. This will also decrease the size of the song so you don't take up all of the huge 10MB of internal space the phone comes with.

Thanks bail40, it worked perfectly. I was able to go into ITunes settings and shorten to 25-30 seconds. The transfer went well after that. 🙂

what also works good, is if you go to walmart.com you can use any of the samples from the cds as a ringer. BUT you have to save the the sample to your harddrive and you have to save it as a .midi file. Also note that your phone won't open pictures if they are very large. I haven't yet figured out what the size limit is.
