Already Purchased Replacement- WHAT DO I DO?

I read all the material and I can't find anywhere that addresses this question... Any insight would be greatly appreciated. (OR a phone number where I can call someone who might be able to address this?)

I already got a Razr V3M through my NE2 program. I just got the V710 package a couple of days ago. I obviously don't need to buy another replacement phone. I don't have the receipt for the V710 or any of the accessories.

If I send back the V710 and accessories without receipts, how much will I get back? Will I be able to get at least $200 even though I'm not purchasing a replacement phone through the exchange website? (I paid way more than $200 for the phone, but obviously can't prove it now without the receipt!)

Since I don't hav...

First off, do you have any kind of bank statement or credit card bill with the purchased price on it? Thats what I used since I didnt have the reciept anymore either. I assume a credit card bill would work...granted you supply them with the total $ value and the date, they should be able to verify that in their computers, no?

Secondly, Im not 100% positive about your other question. I was in the same boat as you because I already had a replacement - but then I realized, you can but another v3m for like $69 off that website...and you can sell that brand new phone on ebay for like $300. Easy money. Although, I dont think you 'have to buy' anything. I think you can just send your v710 in, with receipt and get a check for the full amoun...

You must buy a replacement to get any refund. You will only get a refund for any amount you spend on a replacement up to the the amount you paid for the v710. If you spend $100 on a replacement you get $100 back even if you spent $300 on the v710. If you don't buy a replacement phone from the website you get nothing back even if you send in the v710. What you can do is buy the replacement and sell it. If you don't have a receipt, you can get up to $200 back. If you buy a v3m for $69 you get the $69 back. You can then sell the v3m for a couple of hundred.

If you bought the v710 from your local verizon store, go there and they should be able to print a duplicate receipt for you that you can use. they have all your purchase records...

oh my GOD, I hope this is not true. Not that I am calling you a liar but if this is true that SUCKS. It would be a no brainer to get an expensive phone through the site so you get reimbursed more money, and just selling the new phone if you dont like it.

Wow, that totally sucks, I paid $286 for my v710, bought the v3m for $120 or something expecting I would get the v3m + my refund check for $286. If this is the case I may have to try to swindle something before its too late.

can anyone confirm this is true - for anyone that has received their check and their phone??? Please let us know ASAP

This whole subject has been discussed quite extensively both in this forum and over on howardforums.com. Many people have been in touch with the attorneys on the case and verizon. Unless you opted to cancel your service you get no money back unless you buy a new phone, and the refund is the lesser of the amount spent on a new phone and accessories or the v710. This subject has been beaten to death already. No phone bought from the site, no refund. The new phone must also be activated before the you are eligible for the refund.

Buy a phone and accessories for up to $286 and then sell it.

sigh this is ridiculous (not yelling at the you the messenger but verizon)...I would have definitely bought a more expensive phone, and some accessories too. I had no idea this was the case, and now when I try to log into the site it says:

" The mobile number you entered has already replaced their Motorola V710 handset."

so I cant even go back in and get anything else. I guess I can always return the phone right and say Im not satisfied and want another one, then re-do the process the right way.

The thing is, message board users like hypnotize seem to have received the full refund in the check, and seem to be very happy. Im waiting for him to respond to that post I made
