alright, i have been trying to keep up with this forum and this phone. i check verizon everyday for a new phone to come out. my contract has been up since april and i havent seen anything that has impressed me except for this phone. really all i am looking for in a phone is a good looking small phone with speakerphone and a camera. to me, the audiovox 8900 is bulky and mannish even though it has all the features i am looking for. knowing that this website says the tentative date is july 2004, i would think that the phone would come out the end of july just because that is how marketing works. my phone right now is almost dead, is it worth the wait? and what else should i get?

My contract is up as well, and I was referred to this site by VZW since I wanted to wait for a new Motorola (i prefer the brand). I discovered the V710 and I am impressed by what it promises. My friends have the V500 and V600 phones from Cingular, and I like their phones. I think its worth the wait.
I have talked to reps from VZW and Motorola, almost daily, to try to pin point a release date. Motorola told me that the phone is shipping out shortly and that it is exclusive to VZW. I called a few VZW rep, and on my 3rd attempt I got a really informative person, who actually put me on hold for 5 minutes and researched the information.
She confirmed with their Tech Support that the phone was still being tested and is delayed, b...

A friend recently got the LG 7000, and it's an excellent phone. Unfortunately, I am seeking a speakerphone, so I still have to wait. I am sure the LG 8000 will be just fine. SO... whichever comes out first, the 710 or the 8000, I'm going to get - unless the costs are rediculous.
