New V710

I thought I read on this forum that the Motorola V710's would be in Verizon stores on November 15th if you have a phone that has the tilted camera. Has anyone exchanged their's? I talked to a Verizon sales rep and he said he never heard of the problem and that everyone loves this phone.

Phones only difference is a stright camera, and new bumpers to stop the screen scratching problem.

Some people have reported slightly brighter indoor pictures, and I am trying to get comparison photos as we speak.

You can call *611, and they will 2-day you a new v710 with a prepaid to send your old one. Some people have argued and gotten overngiht, unless theyre lying 😉.

I got my new one at the store. my old one was broken, so I went in to the mall last friday, and they said they just got them in that day...I exchanged it for the new one.

Im definitly happy with it...and now that you mention it, the camera does seem a little brighter. the pictures are more along the lines of bad, as opposed to horrible 😁 but i dont mind, its a "PHONE" afterall right? 😉

I did the 2-day replacement phone thing too. However my new one still has the off-center camera and screen scratching problem. I am beginning to think they will never get this phone right.

Has anyone gotten a replacement phone where these problems are eliminated?

what do you mean by off center?? tilted ?? if you mean that it is off center in the housing it was designed that way -- unless of course you wanted your antenna to star in all your pics and vids

I do not mean off center in the housing. I mean that when you go to take the picture, you have to tilt the camera to get a straight image. If you do not tilt the camera, you will have a tilted image.

oops, I replied to the wrong person before.

anyways, I got my new one in the store...it should be in your local store anyday now (most likely within the week) so I wouldnt bother mailing yours back and forth, just wait the few days for it to hit stores.

and by the way, after 500 pages of v710 discussion you people are still listening to your local verizon reps?? id say 95% have no clue whether a phone is coming in or why it was even recalled. trust me, it will most likely be there within the next week.

hope that helps 😁
