wow, it says tentative from verizon. i have always wanted this phone for verizon. does anybody know about verizon endorsing this? also, i hope it does go out for verizon.

I was at a Radio Shack vendor sponsored seminar and talked to the reps from Audiovox. I had an ulterior motive since I have an 8600 that I'm not happy with and they told me that Verison would be offering the 8615 in the spring 2005 timeframe and that it was a much better phone than the 8600. They almost apologized for the poor reception on the 8600. I checked that Audiovox web site and they don't even mention the 8615 yet, so I don't know how far away it is from release, but I'd guess at least 2 months.
