screen goes blank
i got a motorola v180 and charged it overnite. the next day it showed a full charge, however, when trying to use the phone, the screen constantly goes blank for a few seconds and drops whatever i was doing. has anyone had this happen? i tried removing & putting back the sim card & battery but it keeps happening. i put the sim card into my old phone and it works fine. i'd love to avoid the hassle of taking it to a store and having to wait for it to be fixed or returned, if anyone has any suggestions i'd appreciate it!!
thanks!!

It sounds like you have a defective phone, you will have to return it to point of sale, you could try calling the manufactuer, Motorola, but more than likely it has a problem and you need a new one.

well as it turns out the sensor that monitors when you close the phone is hypersensitive. i went back to the store 3 times before one of the employees showed me the problem. he cleaned it off and cleared the space where it closes, and said that was a common problem and that now it should work. but of course it doesn't. i contacted tmobile and they said i have to send it back and it will take another 8 days for a new one. i don't understand why they can't do an exchange in the store. it's ridiculous already, when i get the replacement phone i'm worried it will have the same problem, plus it will be a month after i first ordered it. what a pain in the arse!

they won't do the exchange at the store because each dealer has limited stock. they have to buy the phones. that's why they will only exchange them within 14 days after purchase.
