Four years ago, Sanyo, Samsung, and LG were the unknown, new brands for phones in this market. Heck, Toshiba is still an unknown brand for the most part.

Anyway, Innostream and MiTAC (and Maxon, Mobicom, Modottel, Telson, and Nixxo) are new, but that certainly doesn't make them bad.

All of the "well-known" companies you mentioned are actually great examples of similar agile Asian companies that recently emerged from virtually out of nowhere (in the cell phone market) and quickly rose to challenge the biggest players (Nokia, Motorola, etc.) There's no reason to believe Innostream (or any of the other companies I mentioned) isn't the next Samsung, LG, or Sanyo.

Dear Rich, I totally understand what you're trying to say. We, people, have always been suspicious of anything that's new, that's human psychology 😕
We'll cirtainly give it a try 😁
Let's see how it all goes!

Good points all of you, but as one said previously its a lot of cosmetics. But pay attention to one great detail you have all missed. The talk time is spectacular. That is the talk time on my extended battery, and I am lucky to get that. The only thing I see it lacking, is the presence of a flash, with its camcorder capabilities. And Speakerphone, but who needs that?

As the intro says, the INNO 99 will be available in a dual-band GSM 850/1900 version, which makes it usable for Cingular / AT&T customers. The tri-band INNO 90 will only give you decent national coverage if you have T-Mobile.

Other than that, it's mostly just cosmetics - the features and specs (except size and frequency bands) are the exact same.
