Has anyone received this phone and fell satisfied or that it was over sold? Also any ideas of availability for Sprint or Verizon.......

I've had this phone for about a week and have been pretty satisfied so far. I didn't care to much for the fingerprint scanner so that missing isn't a big deal to me. Compared to the regular s5 it feels more durable and maybe it's just me but the screen seems a little better. I usually put cases on my phone but I don't feel a need to put one on this phone. If I'm not mistaken I believe sprint is rumored to get it eventually. The fingerprint scanner and usb 3.0 are the only things missing compared to the regular s5. Everything else is the same.

Thanks........I thought the Active had a couple features not on the S5 itself.

Only thing different aside from the mil spec rating is the activity zone app that comes with it. It has a barometer, compass, flashlight and stopwatch within the app. There is also an extra physical button above the volume keys that can be programmed to launch different apps.

I'm temporarily using an iPhone 4 (not s) till the phones come out in the fall. My Samsung Galaxy 3 got trashed. First use of Apple phones and am hating it.

Looking at this S5 Active, HTC rework, Note 4, and now becoming remotely possible iPhone 6.

I really don't like the idea of sealed battery compartment.

Oh ok, I had an iphone 4s and a 5 for a time and they just weren't for me. I had a note 3 before switching to the active which I did enjoy. I mainly switched to the active because I tend to work in dusty environments. I miss the overall screen real estate from the note and I rarely used the s-pen so I'm satisfied with the active. However, rumors have it that the note 4 might be dust proof and water proof so I'll be keeping an eye out on that one.
