You can use voice memos as ring tones!
I found out how to use voice memos as ring tones on the VX3200. This means you can record a voice memo of anything (song clip, movie quote, barking dog, whatever) and set it as your ring tone.
Steps:
Record a voice memo (hold down the right rocker key). For a good ring tone the memo must be quite loud; if you're recording from a stereo, hold it right in front of the speaker. It'll likely take several tries to get exactly the clip and volume you want.
Go to Voice Memo (Menu, 5, 3), use the up/down rocker keys to select the memo you just recorded, and go to Option, 3 (Set As). Select Caller ID to use the memo as the ringtone for all calls. (Well, most calls.)
Check your work: go to Ringers/Caller ID (Menu, 1, 1, 1) and the new ringtone should play. You may have to fool with the volume. If the volume is okay, you're done. If not, go back to the first step and record it louder.
Okay, now everyone can tell me, "We all knew that, you idiot!"
