sadly the batteries and charger are not interchangeable. however the speaker is great. a little fuzzy if there is a lot of background noise or if you are in a low signal area. it's a great phone. you can still do all of the cool stuff and downloads and stuff but everything is so simple. unfortunately thats what makes most people think that this is a terrible phone.
