And they want $299 for this? Gross. You be better off buying a better off contract phone like the (Moto X or Moto G) and buying a reasonable tablet.

The problem is that you dont realize that the key feature of this phone is the 5.7" screen, for $299 I dont think you can get another phone this size.

The point is that a weaker processor is going to have a hard time pushing all those pixels to this gargantuan screen. So yes, it's a big screen, but I highly doubt you'll be able to play any games on it and trying to watch videos will probably result in stuttering, lag and unresponsiveness. So if you care about a large screen then it's great. If you care about actually using your phone and getting performance out of it then it's terrible.

The only relation between processor and display is the number of pixels. The display's physical size is irrelevant to the processor and performance.

This phone has an unusually low resolution for the display's physical size. That actually makes it well-matched to the processor. Neither spec is top-notch, but that's to be expected for an unusually affordable phablet. You can't expect a $300 phablet to match the specs of a $600 phablet. Given the price, the specs are actually quite good.

Motorola has proven this, both the Moto X and even the Moto G give you a tremendous bang for your buck. The problem here isn't that we can expect great specs at a lower price point it's the fact that ZTE has never made a good phone, and there is no reason to give them $300 of your hard earned money.

There is no way that videos will lag on this device, full screen or otherwise. My old device had a dual-core 800Mhz processor, and I could watch full-screen 1080P encoded videos on it's 4" screen. The screen's resolution was less than 720P. I really, really doubt a new Snapdragon 400 dual-core 1.2Ghz would even blink at a high-definition video, large screen or not. Also, I played lots and lots of games on that phone, including Angry Birds Go (the racing game) and Minecraft Pocket Edition, and other 3d and 2d games. Never, ever had a single problem. I think 1.2Ghz is faster than you think. especially in the new Snapdragon 400 architecture.

For HD video and some 3D games, the problem is when you start loading the phone up, or even a year down the road when more advanced apps and games come out this phone can't keep up. My favorite test for this phone is to see it play Real Racing, or Dead Trigger.

I've had the boost Max since May & I've played gta & many many more. No problems. Sometimes a little lag but with a ram booster & Cache cleaner, all is well. For a dual core I am impressed and happy. I got the phone for only 150 bucks. Boost mobile gave rebates and credit the account. I pay 40 a month, for LTE unlimited text & data and so far no throttle and I have hit the 6gb mark a few times. Headphones rock with Dolby digital. Not bad phone, seriously.

Just because it has a large screen that doesn't make it a good phone. The internal specs of this phone are awful. Plus like I said pay $330 get a great phone fully customized, the Moto X. Then spend another couple hundred and get a decent tablet if you want a big ol' screen.

I totally agree with you, I love My Moto X and I'm getting the Nexus 7 next month. I'd never think of buying this phone, my point was about the price, considering its a phablet.
