Great phone but would make a few changes

I like the features on phone but the only thing I would change about the phone is the screen quality to OLED,add a larger internal storage and add miracast. Instead of a 20 mp camera It might was well be a 41 mp like the lumia 1020 since it offers a bit more.

20 MP is not enough for you? It is doubtful that the 41 MP sensor would have a cost similar to the 20, if they included the 41, most likely the price point would be pushed up. Also, I very much doubt the human eye can tell the difference between a full resolution 20MP or 41MP picture.

Yes, but some photographers interested in this phone will care.

actualy photographers wont care at all, they know image quality is much more the pixal count, pro cameras are around the 18-21 meagpixal range anyways

plus if you look at side by side photos taken by the 1020, 920, and iphone 5s, the 920 was almost as good as the 1020 and the iphone even beat the 1020 in some cases

Ummmm.... Rich Brome already gave a great explanation as to "why" photographers will care. I'll defer to that. I find it amusing how people always want to assume they know why some other group of people can do without some feature they obviously want.

Rich only has one or two posts on the thread. I'm sure you can find it.

i apologize you didnt specify this thread thought you meant another article

have you used the 1020? cuz i have, yes you get the lossless but that really only counts when it comes to megapixels, the phones not capable of getting a good focus when digitally zoomed in that far, so your image isnt pixilated, but its not sharp enough to use for any pro photograhy

you say, "I find it amusing how people always want to assume they know why some other group of people can do without some feature they obviously want"

you assume I am not a photograher, while im no pro I am a photographer, and know several people who do it for a living, and nun of them would use the 1020 as even a secondary camera, it takes good pictures but still nowhere even ...

My original comment was in response to this comment:

"I very much doubt the human eye can tell the difference between a full resolution 20MP or 41MP picture."

There is a reason a photographer will prefer the 41MP camera over the 20MP camera. I get that neither you nor any your photographer friends want either camera. No one is claiming these cameras are DSLR quality. But believe me, some photographers will find a use for them. I think the cameras on the IPhone 3 and original Galaxy S (as bad as they were) were used in parts of some movies. Just because YOU don't see a use for them, doesn't mean that someone else won't.

but the non-professional photographers, which are majority, do. Cellphone has overcome digital cameras in recent days. It's not that common to see someone carrying a digital camera nowadays. Therefore, I understand the people who wants, and demand, better camera resolution on their smartphones. Though, consumers need to understand that the higher the quality, the higher the price. If price's not a problem, then go ahead and get the smartphone with the better camera resolution!
If not, the 20 mp res is your best option. Which, it isn't bad at all considering that the over-priced iPhone has, at best, 8 mp and the HTC ONE carries a 4mp ultrapixel camera, and both devices take great pictures despite the low mp count.
As someone mentioned befor...

With PureView, the extra megapixels aren't about the final image size. They're about starting with a lot so you can shrink down to a regular-size (3-8 megapixel) image with lossless zoom and/or improved noise/sensitivity/sharpness.

So with 20 megapixels instead of 41, you can't zoom in as much, and the other benefits aren't as great.

How about also adding more memory, like 3 or 4 GB? And also a removable battery.

That would be nice but only the galaxy note 3 gives the 3GB and very few phones give 2GB and most still give 1GB that make no sense. Adding a removable battery would be nice option but the battery is big enough to where I don't think it would be needed.

Ya, but it doesn't matter how big the battery is. It will eventually die. It's only a matter of time.

You're kidding right? Are we supposed to ignore the fact that some of these batteries are soldered in? Since when is soldering considered something any ole Joe can do? And I'm supposed to assume there's no shortage of after market batteries available for all of these phones as well, right? Give me a break.

I don't know how much you keep up on all the different phones but in case you don't, you might want to take a look at the camera specs on the recent HTC phones (particularly the One line), and then look at sample images from them. Megapixel counts are just a small part of what makes a camera good or bad.
