-Download BitPim (Version: 0.7.14) and install. Select the 'LG VX6000' as the phone model.

I don't know. I've only been using a Futuredial LG VX6000 cable that I purchased from Radio Shack. More expensive than other cables and other places, but I still bought it there...

I have not used QPST yet, since BitPim does the 3 things I want to be able to do just fine.

1) Upload images to the phone.
2) Upload ring tones to the phone.
3) Download images from the phone.

However, I have heard the many people prefer QPST over BitPim, but never gave a reason. Why is it better? I might give it a try. Thanks.

I would recommend buying the Futuredial USB LG VX6000 data cable from Radioshack, even though it might be a bit more expensive than getting it on ebay or something.

If you get the one I mentioned, you'll know for sure it'll work since that's what I have.

P.S. You won't even have to modify the cable plug like other people have. I connect it by inserting in at an angle and it connects just fine.
