I went to my local Verizon Store and asked if I could look at their VX7000 demo and they said "how did you know we had that?!"
I even had to inform them about Video Messaging on the 25th. Oh well..
Anyways, to all these negative posts about this phone - I don't know what phone you have been looking at, but the LG VX7000 I was holding in my hands today was simply AWESOME! It wasn't a "brick" by any means. It was beautiful! The screens are huge and it has so many cool options. Just to make sure I also took a look at the Sa670 and it didn't do anything for me. It was so small and it doesn't even open up fully like most flip top phones. The internal display seemed clear but it was so small. I am DEFINATELY going with the LG VX000 and...

this phone comes out on June 25th the same day as video messaging is released by VZW!!! You will also see all of the others released soon after the 710, 9900 etc!!! Verizon didnt want to release any more video phones wothout the messaging obviously so the long wait is finally over!!!

I wonder if there going to use the multimedia method to send the vids or the 1x network. Cuz I hate the pic message system for verizon it's very slow to send a pic to some else it takes @ least 20-35 secs or more just to send 1 pic. If they use the 1X network vids will be sent alot faster. I can send pix from my Samsung VM-A680 in like under 5 secs sometimes and vids in under 15 sometimes. So if verizon uses the same method to send vids there no telling how long they will take maybe 1 minute or more. Average vid is about 200 or more KB and avg. pic is 34-72KB.

Coming from a college student's point of view...I think this will be the phone to have for the next few months (at least around my age group - 16-25). I have read so many posts in the VX7000 Forum about how it is so terrible compared to the Moto 710...of course right after that I see quite a few that disagree. I have to say that I also disagree. I have had 2 Moto V60's (a C and an I) and while they were alright at first, after time they start to die (battery life, shutting off, software glitches, antennas breaking). I have heard so many horror stories about those and the T720 and even the T730. Due to that I would be very weary about getting another Moto product. I also don't feel the 710 is geared toward the 18-25 (or so) generation, either...

Even though everyone has the VX6000 it isnt likely that you will most likely see as many 7000's around due to a few reasons. First off the 6000 was the first and for a good while only camera phone verizon had to offer so it had no competition. The 7000 currenty will be going against the audiovox 8900 the samsung 670 the samsung 610 and soon the motorola v710 and maybe evne the audivox 9900. Alos the 6000 sold for 200 when it was released while the 7000 is 50 dollars more. I do like LG phones but quailty is not what I have seen from them. working for a privately owned verizon store I have seen a common issue with Lg of lasting for more than a year. It started with the old black and silver 510 then went to the vx 10 to the 4400 and the 600 an...

OMG!! That is the problem I am having with my LG 510. The battery dies after only 2 or 3 hours on Stand By. I got a new battery but it still does the same thing. I hope they get this problem fixed on the new models as I am at my wits end with the 510.

uh since when does vzw franchise its stores? how can you work in a "privately owned" store...lmao. i think you are an indirect agent and not a vzw employee..lol anyway, i have the 6000 and havent had any problems with it, just watch the 7000 will be the next big thing until the 8000 comes out

Well yes i work for an indirect agent which is also known as a privately verizon owned store. We only sell verizon but aren't owned by them. Either way I do like the vx7000 and its looks and features but from what I have seen come back due to issues LG is leading. In our repair bin right now we have more LG's than any other phone( granted they are one of our biggest sellers therefore percentage wise it may equal out to the number of samsungs and other phones in there.) Motorola did make a the 720 which dint go to well but they have name recongiton which will take LG much longer to establish. I was wrong for comparing this to the 8900 even though amazingly we haven't had any complaints on the phone yet. I guess i wont really know till it come...

I don't think the 7000 will be in the same league as the 8900. I know very few Verizon reps who will even sell people that phone. Not to mention the 7000 is WAY out of the 8900's league. The 8900 has no dual color displays, no video, etc. Not to mention you can get them for dirt cheap now and they've been out a while. The 670 I can see, but the 670 doesn't have the memory capacity the 7000 does. The flash doesn't look too stellar either. Verizon is launching an all new service (Video messaging)...and since the 7000 will be its first phone that will use that service...there really is no phone that will do what it does. Also...the VX6000 sold for $199.99 with a $50 mail in rebate. I know because I bought the first one at my store for my best f...

In case you were misinformed, picture messaging does use the 1x network. In fact people with the vx6000 were the first to be able to use it to access the internet from their laptops/pdas because it was already enabled on their account if they had a picture messaging plan. I have a vx6000 and unless I'm in a fringe area, my pictures don't take more than 5 seconds or so. Keep in mind 1x is about 40-60 kbps on the upstream so pictures and videos are not going to fly through the air at broadband speeds. Even when EV-DO which all of the vx7000 proponents rave about comes out, the upstream is still limited to the same speeds unfortunately. I happen to love my vx6000 and I will buy the vx7000 when it comes out, but will most likely end up wit...

Well if that's verizon's 1x network then it is very very slow then. When I sent pix from that phone it seemed to be more multimedia based then internet. Like I said before I'am able to send pix from my sprint phone 3-4 times faster then with any verizon phone including the VX6000 and Samsung A-610.
