Car Kits
I'm looking for advice / suggestions on car kits for the LG 7000 phone. My wife has 1 hour commute and is tired of holding her phone in traffic.
What she wants is minimal wires, clear receipt and transmission. The car is a Lexus RX300.
Can anyone make suggestions or can you share your experience with such devices. I see models that just plug into cig plugs and then models that are trunk mounted and professionally installed. What's the scoop? --tim

Seems like you have 2 choices here. You can get a portable speaker phone that plugs into your cigarette lighter, either from Verizon, under Accessories, or directly from LG at

The set usually has a wired microphone that you can attach to the car visor or to clothing to allow better sound quality to the person you're calling. The set will work without the wired microphone, but, if your cig. lighter is not really close to your face, the person being called may have some trouble hearing her well as there could be lots of background noise. For retreiving messages and doing a lot of listening, this set works well without the wired microphone.
