🤭

This has been one of the worst weeks I've ever had, and to top it all off, today I accidentally dropped my VX7000 in water! It's the first time I've ever seriously dropped it. It was clean water, but now I don't know what to do. Any help?

get insurance or take it to the verizon wireless store for a replacement (which will cost u $50.) orr be super lucky, dry it off and wait for it to dry up. if all turns out well, itll be back. (lol i dropped my t720 while white river rafting and luckily caught it, but caught it soaked up and wet and then a week after, it dried up and was good as new)

1. Take battery out, Get a hair dryer and blow warm air from the dryer on the phone go back and forth with the dryer for about 30 min .
Then ,
2. put two towels in dryer, let them get warm , completely wrap your phone up in the hot/warm towels. All the way around. Put the towels and phone wrapped in the towels , seal the bag so heat stays in there. Leave it for a few hours and take out phone and let it sit then try to turn it on.

The towels help absorbe more of the water after you blow dry it.

That's what a vez. rep. told me to do with my old phone and it worked perfectly. I had no problems at all. Hopefully you will have the same outcome. The key is to get the water out as soon as poss.

Best of luck .

Getting insurance on a broken phone won't work. If you don't sign up for insurance the day you get the phone, you only have 15 days to add it. Even if you're in that window, they are required to make a test call to the phone to verify that it works.

Also getting the $50 replacement won't work either. There are moisture indicators on the battery as well as inside the phone. Any tech doing their job right will not authorize an exchange on your phone.

Better hope it dries out and is ok on it's own.

i have done that too, but instead i dropped it in dirty toilet water. i had insurance and they sent me a new phone.

i think it pays to have it because its only a few dollars a month and then you can have your phone replaced when accidents occour.

the only problem is that sometimes they dont send you the same phone you had. because i had a diffrent flip phone and they are sending me this, which from what i read is alot better. but at least they are not charging me!
