Motorola A630
"How To" for converting your T-Mobile A630 to a FULL Working Cingular Version!
Hello everyone. After searching for answers on how to do this for almost a week I finally got it.
PICTURES WILL BE POSTED LATER IN THE HOWARDFORUMS POST.
There is no need to edit any "seems", or change and HEX values. It's very straight forward.
All the menus are cingualr, the startup screen is the orange splat on the outter and inner lcd. It's just like a cingular version.

I found your instructions on hofo. When I unzip the files it gives me an error says compression file unkown. Any ideas? I can unzip other files.

I just bought my wife this phone. It was advertised as an unlocked phone. It came in a tmobile box. We put the Cingular Sim in it and it works to make and receive calls, but we cannot set up email or access internet. I am trying to access your post on HoFo, but have not been able to get to it for some reason. Is there anyway you can email me to help set this phone up correctly? It is a gift for my wife and giving her something that doesn't work isn't going over very well.

That's where you want to go... it sends the internet/text/mms settings for cingular to ur phone....

I got an idea how bout just buy a Cinguar branded A630 from me I have 2 of them. One has never been opened and the other has light use. Will make a deal to anyone willing to by both of them.
