Motorola A630
exact date?
anybody have an exact release date for this phone? or is that just a lost cause. I'm about to sign up for a new plan pretty soon, but alot of the phones I want aren't coming out till later...except this one maybe?

Getting an exact date out of a wireless carrier is like getting a 9 month old to recite the Theory of Relativity.
The A630 and V710 are both slated for an Aug. release from what I've heard. But of course there are no actual dates attached to that for either. I'm hopin it's soon, cause I'm hopin to replace this v60i on my hip with a shiny new A630 with Cingular.

Well the V710 is already out so that's a good sign.
Motorola did say the A630 will be out late summer, so I would expect end of August to early September if all goes well.

According to a Motorola retail rep, they are shipping to Cingular in Atlanta around the 20th of this month. Of course, Cingular has to play with em a little bit, but we expect them around the first or a few days later.

Looks like it's postponed by about 3 weeks. They are talking end of September for Cingular now. No exact date yet.
