Not sure, I thought I read somewhere the you have to unscrew it from the opened position. It's best that you call the place you order the faceplates and ask. Another thing thay you may or may not be concerned with is to check if changing the faceplate would void the warranty on the phone or not.

yes, I have but don't like leather and kind of beats the purpose of the compact size of the phone. Good sugestion though. 😉
