How to weasel an A630 out of Tmobile
OK, first I should premise all of this on my account history with TMobile:
1. I've been a customer for 6 years
2. I haven't had a contract in 4 years
3. I haven't ever had the phone shut down for non-payment.
Anyway, I've been waiting since this fall for Cingular to get this phone so I could jump on the Amazon "port your # and we'll give you the phone free" deals that they always have. I finally got tired of Lucy pulling the ball out from my swinging leg so I decided to call TMobile and see what they'd do.
I talked to the first CSR and was offered $299 plus a one-year contract (I hate contracts). Hell of a deal. I got her to send me to retention and there I played the "been off contract forever" card and also the "have you see...
