FETNU have you tried any changes to offset 38 bits 2 and/or 3? According to xlr8 they enable the "Classic Alert" and "Attention Alert." I like regular ringing sounds and I was thinking that these are maybe regular sounding? I heard someone's Nextel (i think) Moto ring the other day and I am convinced it was one of these that maybe Cingular disables but Nextel enables? I can't find my USB cable to try it, thought you might have...

I actually haven't tried this.

Hey Brettflan - Have you tried this yet?

Nah, haven't specifically tried that but since I have the V600 OEM flex those 2 are already enabled on my phone. And they do sound like quite normal ringtones (a rapid "blee-blee-blee-blee-blee" kinda ring which I've heard on quite a few cellphones, both of them being similar sounding). They're probably the ones you'd heard, bmega.

Haven't had much time lately to mess with my phone.

I knew it! Thanks a lot to both...I'll be editing soon... Do either of you see the V400 being tossed off the list for the V551? Despite lack of Bluetooth and video I still like the V400 better. The all silver color is just better, AND the V400 vibe & ring option vibes longer before ringing than the v551 or the RAZR among other things. Thanks again!
