I seem to be having a problem with MPT and my usb cable. I bought the usb cable at radio shack and when its hooked into my V400 and MPT is going it doesnt recognize my phone correctly and I cant do anything. It was not made for MPT - and I got it for free so its not a big deal that it doesnt work. I was wondering where I can get a cable that will work with the v400 and MPT - thanks

Exactly... buy one off ebay for $7.00 max (and that includes shipping). I would recommend you look for Eforcity to buy it from (on Ebay). The ones at Radio Shack will not work unless you rewire the box located in the middle of the cable.

I happen to have 2 of the cables from radio shack with the black box in the center, so i am tempted to try to rewire one.. should i just cut off the black box and wire the other pieces back together or is there actually something in the black box that can be rewired to fix this? please let me know - sounds like fun 🙂
