Motorola V400
caller id, time, date
Hi, I want to get either this phone or a Samsung SGH-P107 and I wanted to know if this phone has a caller id, time, and date and if not does the Samsung SGH-P107 have these things.

Yeah, the V400 has caller ID which shows up on the external LCD before you even pick the phone up. And it logs all calls, incoming and outgoing, whether or not they were answered on either side. The logging includes the person's name, phone number, time and date, and if you answered then it will also tell you how long the call lasted. Oh, and it indicates with a checkmark whether you answered it or missed it.
As for the camera, I don't know about the one on the Samsung phone you mentioned. The V400 camera (along with the other Vxxx series phones) is decent if you ask me, especially for a camera on a phone, but there are definitely better ones out there. The p107 does have all of the caller id features you asked about, it logs them in to three groups, missed, dialed, and received. The v400 logs them in to dialed and received, but puts a check next to the calls that you were connected (no checks for missed calls). The v400 also includes the call length for each call.

I'll tell you what I tell everyone. Don't buy a cell phone expecting to get a high quality camera. Digital camera's work best for pictures and cell phones work great for making phone calls (duh). It's an added bonus having a camera built into the v400 but don't expect the highest quality.
