Samsung SPH-A680 / VM-A680
QVGA screen??????
Anyone know if this phone is gonna be QVGA? if not that's really weak and it's not gonna sell well.. considering the toshiba 9950's QVGA screen is amazing.. and sprint cant' keep them in stock here in NY.

No, definitely not. Unfortunately, as the specs state, it's 128 x 160 pixels. (QVGA is 240 x 320 pixels.)
There is an upside, though. The A680 is very compact - the smallest phone available with this kind of feature set. You couldn't fit a QVGA screen into a phone this small.
It would be nice to see something in-between, like maybe 176 x 220 resolution, but I guess that will have to wait until Sprint releases the CDMA version of Samsung's slider phone (which is coming, by the way). 😉
