Ladies and gentlemen,

I pose a few questions for you...I am about to purchase a new phone. I am within the 18 month window, and my samsung scp 6400 is kinda beat up. Well, i went into Bestbuy and saw the samsung a680, and I was playing around with it for a while. I really like the phone itself (size, features, etc.) But there are a few questions i have:

1. signal strength: how is it? I hate the original a500, and I would drop calls constantly. I could be right next to a cell tower, and not have a signal! WHen I got my Sanyo, I always got great signals. Never dropped any calls either.

Well I have had no real problems with my A680.

Signal Strength: I have never really had a problem with signal strength. NOt sure if its cuz I am lucky or if I am near a cell tower. I have had previous samsungs (8500, 460, 500, 620) and have never really had a problem here.

polyphonic ringer: Is way better than most of my friends phones.

Screensaver: This phone is able to set a video as your screensaver which is WAY cool. There is NO lag time when using either a video or picture taken with the A680. When you set an animated pic that you've download there is about a 3 sec delay until it appears.

I have had this phone since it first came out and i haven;t had any issues yet.

hope this helps.

My problem with it was that it had poor signal strength inside my house. However, with the A680, I have full signal strength not only inside my house but everywhere I go.
This is my first camera phone so I've enjoyed the ability to take pics and videos and send them to friends. The quality may not be the greatest, but then it's not a camera so I'm realistic about it's limitations. I love the ringers and the polyphonic capability is great. Loud enough to be heard while I'm driving in my car with the stereo on.
Overall, my experience is that it's a great ph...
