Two possible reasons for bad reception with this phone. 1. only 2 GSM frequencies, with services upgrading to newer systems it was bound to fall behind the curve and loose reception, and 2.the age of the phone itself, I had this for a year and in the begining it didn't have much trouble at all with calls being clear... but now? I spent a weekend in baltimore where I got no signal at all for the entire time.
