Nokia 6230

Some reviews give 6230 signal reception great reviews but I've had lost calls galore since August or so. May until August seemed great. The base-unit I bought to charge it, that also forwards call to my home phone, stopped working then too. Cingular claims there's no tower problem near me, but I can sit in one spot and go from 5 bars to none at random, like the signal from some more-remote tower that I'm actually using now gets lost.

So, is the phone very good, and is trying its best to use a poor signal, or should I go for another, better phone?...
