It says that because sometimes the phone has problems with the larger mmc's, although they could still, for the most part, work. You just have to find on that's compatible. I myself have a 1gb kingmax mmc which works for storing and playing mp3's, however you can't set a ringtone from the mmc so I have to move all my ringtones to the handset memory. I think this only happens with mmc's over 256mb. Hope this helps.

So, what other brands of 1GB MMC cards do the job with few hassles? Sandisk can be had for about $75, but is Sandisk one of the brands that works well? Is anyone using a 'generic' 1GB card without much trouble?

Thanks...

I just wish MMC was cheaper, given that it isn't on the shelf anymore at places I go like Best Buy.

Newer phones don't use it, so if I buy it and change to a new phone later, I'll have to use it in a portable USB card reader or something to avoid tossing it in my pile of No Longer Useful Stuff, which isn't small...

I went with an ATP 512MB card. I'll probably break up the "Raiders of the Lost Ark" 3GP movie I made into 10 parts since there's no fast forward on the phone, and play it when I'm bored...
