Anyone get Gmail working via POP?

Gmail supports POP. The Nokia 6230 supports POP. Why can't I get the two to play together?

I get "GPRS authentication" failed. Here's my configuration, of which I understand maybe 40% (sensitive information changed to protect the confused):

Mailbox name: gmail
Email address: me@gmail.com
My Name: Me
Outgoing (SMTP) server: smtp.gmail.com
Incoming server type: POP3
Incoming (POP3) server: pop.gmail.com
POP3 user name: me@gmail.com
POP2 password: noneOfYourBusiness
Other Settings:
  Use SMTP authorization: Yes
  SMTP user name: me@gmail.com
  SMTP password: noneOfYourBusiness
  Outgoing (SMTP) port: 465
  Incoming (POP3) port: 995
  Secure login: On
&nbs...

Hmmm... still no luck. "GPRS authentication failed"

In the meantime, I signed up for gmailwireless.com, which does the job well.

The reason it doesn't work is because there is no SSL setting available on the 6230. You need that for Gmail.

I am glad you got yours to work, I have registered and then verified it through the email but everytime I try and long on via WAP, it tells me to register. Grrrrrrrrrr
