Nokia 6230

Will it work with Sprint?

Will the Nokia 6230 work with Sprint PCS? That's where I have my current contract w/ & I'd like to get this phone...I was talking with a sales rep at AT&T who also was a fan of this phone & he said that if I got it from an independent distributor & just made sure it was "unlocked" that I would be able to use this phone w/ sprint..any truth to this?

also, all these things about 850 or 900 & different numbers, I'm totally confused!

I'm in the US so what would I be looking for here?

Maybe you actually talked to a customer at AT&T, because I sure hope that's not how smart their reps are. Wow!!! To answer your question, no, it will not work with Sprint because their phones operate using CDMA technology while the Nokia 6230 will operate on GSM technology (which is what Cingular, AT&T, and T-Mobile use).
